The full result of the annulled June 12 1993 election as obtained and tendered by a Campaign for Democracy, a pro-democracy organization in a Lagos court. In an excerpt of the National address by the then Military head of state General Ibrahim Babangida annulling the June 12 1993 Presidential election. IBB, despite acknowledging the election to be free and fair, still went ahead to annul it, read the excerpt below…
”It is true that the presidential election was generally seen to be free, fair and peaceful. However, there was in fact a huge array of electoral malpractice virtually in all states of the federation before the actual voting began. About 2.1 billion naira was spent by both presidential candidates.
